A work in progress. Our extension journey so far.
Summer 2019 has seen the start of our brand new extension! This is due to be completed ready for January 2020 and will add a brand new office area, cloak room, kitchen and pre-school room onto the existing nursery. Work started in July and the children have loved watching the diggers and wagons.
July 2019
Preparation began ready for the diggers arriving. The Ducklings play area was removed and a temporary entrance was made for parents and staff. The diggers arrived and the site was set up. They dug out the ground ready for the footings and drainage to be done.
August 2019
The ground has all been dug out now and the footings have been installed. During August the drainage was put in place. Some of the diggers have left the site and a crane will be arriving ready to build the new steel structure over the next 2 weeks.
September 2019
The steel frame was assembled over a couple of weeks before the brick work was started and the building quickly took shape. We can now see where the new rooms will be. Over the next few weeks, we are expecting the windows to be delivered and installed.
