2022 At Lakeview

As another year draws to a close, we take a look back on another busy year at Lakeview.

We welcomed lots of new staff and children to the Lakeview family this year as we continue to grow. Staff have undertaken lots of professional development as the year.

Earlier on in the year, the team completed Communication Friendly Training and as a result we became an accredited Communication Friendly Setting.

We have been involved in several Essere Therapy training sessions which covered a variety of topics such as empathy, wellbeing and resilience. Staff have upheld their first aid training and kept up to date with changes to legislation and guidelines.

At the start of the year, the Swans had a revamp of new resources and furniture and resources as well as replenishing other resources around the nursery.

Over the year, we have taken part in a variety of events and trips, some of which raised money for various charities. Some of these events have included our bunny hop in April raising money for Pendleside Hospice, a Macmilan coffee morning and Christmas jumper day.

The Pre-School room enjoyed a trip to the farm school over the summer before holding their graduation ceremony and leavers party before leaving for school. At Christmas they put on an excellent nativity that was enjoyed by all.

In 2022, we have been able to invite our parents in for stay and play sessions throughout the year and will continue to do so in the new year so keep your eyes peeled for these.
